EUCF Eligibility Check
1. Are you a municipality/local authority, a grouping of municipalities/local authorities or a local public entity aggregating municipalities/local authorities?
Please note that a self-declaration form (Annex C for municipalities/local authorities or groupings) is required for the full application. Local public entities need to declare in the self-declaration form (Annex C for local public entities) that i) they are officially recognised as a tier of local government (different from the regional and provincial levels) by the national law with the obligation for municipalities/local authorities to join the supra-municipal organisation; (ii) they are composed only by municipalities/local authorities; (iii) they have a specific political and administrative structure.
2. Is your municipality/local authority, grouping of municipalities/local authorities or local public entity aggregating municipalities/local authorities located entirely in the EU-27 Member States, in one of the EEA-EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway), or the UK?
Please note that the LAU and NUTS 3 Code for the municipality/local authority or for each municipality/local authority of a grouping has to be provided in the full application. Local public entities provide the NUTS 3 area code in which the entity is located.
3. Does your municipality/local authority, grouping of municipalities/local authorities or local public entity aggregating municipalities/local authorities have a politically approved SEAP, SECAP or plan of similar ambition?
Please note that the SEAP, SECAP or plan of similar ambition (Annex A.1) has to be provided in the full application, together with an English summary (Annex A.2) with the main climate/energy targets of the plan.
4. Will you be able to provide a proof of political commitment to develop the investment concept by the Mayor or other relevant political representative?
Please note that a letter of support (Annex B) is required for the full application.
5. Do you commit to the EUCF monitoring period of two years?
Please note that this requirement will be part of the EUCF Grant Agreement for awarded applicants.
