EUCF Eligibility Check
1. Are you a municipality/local authority, a grouping of municipalities/local authorities, or a local public entity aggregating municipalities/local authorities?
2. Is your municipality/local authority, grouping of municipalities/local authorities, or local public entity aggregating municipalities/local authorities located entirely in the EU-27 Member States, Iceland or Ukraine?
Please note that the LAU and NUTS 3 Code for the municipality/local authority or for each municipality/local authority of a grouping has to be provided in the full application. As LAU and NUTS 3 codes are not available for municipalities/local authorities from Ukraine, Ukrainian applicants can select the administrative subdivision applying from the national system of regional and territorial statistics. Local public entities must provide the NUTS 3 area code in which the entity is located as well as their tax identification number or equivalent.
3. Does your municipality/local authority, grouping of municipalities/local authorities, or local public entity aggregating municipalities/local authorities have a Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) or other local climate and/or energy plan with mitigation targets?
Please note that the corresponding SECAP or other climate and/or energy plan with mitigation targets must be submitted with the EUCF application form.
4. Will you be able to provide a proof of political commitment to develop the investment concept signed by the Mayor or other relevant political representative?
Please note that a letter of support to the development of the investment concept must be submitted with the EUCF application form. A template is provided by the EUCF and must be mandatorily used for the submission of the letter of political support.
5. Do you commit to the EUCF monitoring period of two years?
Please note that this requirement will be part of the EUCF Grant Agreement for awarded applicants. The monitoring period starts one year after the submission of the investment concept by EUCF beneficiaries.
